Cheerleaders are often thought of as inspiring others through yelling, cheering, pom-poms, and signs.  But that's only a small part of the picture.  The best inspiration is when a cheerleader motivates others just by her own story, as is the case with Brianne Alfano.  This talented 9-year old didn't let diabetes stop her from doing what she loves - cheering!

Even though she must wear a special medical device under her uniform and monitor her blood sugar carefully, this doesn't set this leader back for even one second.

Her teammates and fans adore her optimism and unstoppable energy.  Brianne sums it up best herself, "You have to try. You have to do it.  Don't let anything stop you."

Kudos, Brianne!
